We want to create an opportunity for as many creative students as possible to dream big. And we want to support them in their vision. That’s why we partner two students with our Makers Mentors to give them insight and guidance on honing the basic skills needed to launch their creative career.

The Makers High School Scholarship Initiative was created to encourage a more diverse and equitable media landscape in Canada.

To launch our first year, we have partnered with Lester B Pearson Collegiate Institute in Scarborough, ON, and awarded two graduating students with scholarships valued at $5000 each.

To qualify, graduating students submit ideas for real projects they would like to bring to life.

Once the two students are selected, we award them with the tools, support, and guidance they need to help bring their vision to reality over the summer.

The goal is to carve a path for young, divergent perspectives in our industry.

By providing the means with which youth can discover and explore the possibilities of a career in media.

We hope to expand the initiative to other schools across North America with the help of future partners. Because, together we can make anything.
