THE COMMUNITY

Scholarship Program

We believe that diversity is creativity. And we believe in fostering both as early as possible. The Makers High School Scholarship is built to provide the opportunity for as many creative students as possible to dream big, and believe in their ability to actualize those dreams through mentorship and support.

We are intent on encouraging a more diverse and equitable media landscape in Canada. In our second year, we partnered with Lester B Pearson Collegiate Institute in Scarborough, ON, and C. W. Jefferys Collegiate in North York to award three (3) graduating students with a scholarship valued at $5000 per student. The students have also been given the tools, support, and guidance—a one-on-one Maker mentorship—to help bring their vision to reality over the course of summer 2022.

Our goal is to pave a path for young, divergent perspectives in our industry by providing tools in which youth can discover the possibilities of a job in media, and build the skills needed to launch a creative career. We hope to expand the initiative to other schools across Northern America with the help of future partners.

Because together, we can make anything.
